Long-time Pixar Story Artist, and first time director, Louis Gonzales will take audiences through his experiences making the newest SparkShort, “Nona,” his ode to family (and wrestling). A personal story influenced by the many strong women in his life, Gonzales will share how "Nona" was created, and demonstrate how ideas can be hard to pin down, especially when you’re up against the ropes of deadlines and deliverables.

Note: Make sure you watch the short first! The live Q&A will start around 5:10PM to give everyone time to finish. Nona will only be available to watch until 6:00PM

A grandmother, Nona, plans to spend her day off by shutting out the world to watch her favorite TV show, “E.W.W. Smashdown Wrestling.” However, when her 5-year-old granddaughter Renee is unexpectedly dropped off, Nona is caught between her two favorite things. Renee wants to play while the normally-doting Nona wrestles with wanting to watch the Smashdown, leading to a decisive showdown between the two, and a loving compromise.
